The data promise
Your data stays confidential. We never show your company's data to anyone else. We only publish results as summaries that combine many companies, and never for a group smaller than five. We never sell or share your raw data.
What each part means
“Your data stays confidential.”
Confidential means we keep your file private and we control who can see it. We say confidential, not anonymous, because we do know which company sent each file. That is how we send your report back to you.
“We never show your company's data to anyone else.”
No other participant, customer, or outside party sees your company's numbers. Not your pay rates, not your job list, not the fact that a given result includes you.
“We only publish results as summaries that combine many companies, and never for a group smaller than five.”
Everything we publish is a summary, like a median, that mixes many companies together. If fewer than five companies have data for a job in a location, we do not show that result at all. This makes it hard to work back to any one company.
“We never sell or share your raw data.”
Your raw data is the file you send and the rows in it. We do not sell it, and we do not hand it to anyone else.
The safeguards behind it
- A minimum of 5 companies behind every published result.
- No employee names. If your file has them, we drop them on arrival.
- Your raw data is never sold or shared.
How the numbers are built is on the how we calculate page. The legal details are in the privacy policy and terms.
This page will be reviewed by counsel before the survey opens.
